Aethir, a decentralized cloud computing platform, has teamed up with LayerZero, an interoperability protocol. This partnership aims to bring omnichain features to Aethir's Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) and support its development on the Sophon zero-knowledge (ZK) chain.

Aethir's ecosystem is designed for major AI and gaming companies that use Web3 technology across different blockchains. With LayerZero on board, Aethir's DePIN stack will transition to a multichain network. This change will make it easier to migrate Aethir's GPU infrastructure to the Sophon ZK chain.

During the ATH token migration test phase, you'll see the ATH token available on ZKsync as an Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT). LayerZero’s technology will ensure that ATH token rewards for Checker Nodes and Aethir Edge operators move smoothly from the Arbitrum Layer 2 network to Sophon. This will maintain network stability and provide a seamless experience for the Aethir community.

Additionally, Aethir will use the Stargate omnichain liquidity protocol as a blockchain bridge. This will allow users to easily swap ATH tokens across chains. Aethir is currently working on technical integrations to improve user experience throughout its GPU infrastructure. With Stargate, users and decentralized applications (dApps) can transfer native assets between blockchains while accessing unified liquidity pools. Any transfer started on the source chain through Stargate is guaranteed to reach its destination.

Aethir also launched a $100 million Ecosystem Fund to support growth in gaming and AI projects. The first phase of this fund includes Aethir Catalyst. This new grant initiative is designed to help businesses launch innovative products in AI and gaming. The goal is to accelerate the development of advanced AI applications, cloud gaming platforms, and AI-driven gaming experiences.
