Bitget Wallet has hit a major milestone. It now boasts over 12 million monthly active users (MAUs). As of August 2024, it has also become the most downloaded Web3 wallet.
How did they do it? By tapping into Telegram’s huge user base. This strategy has created a viral effect, attracting people who might not know much about cryptocurrency. Alvin Kan, the COO of Bitget Wallet, explains, “With over 90% of tokens only available on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), we’re helping users discover new opportunities. Our goal is to bring Web2 users into the world of Web3, making crypto easy to access, especially in areas with limited traditional finance options.”
This growth aligns with Bitget Wallet’s mission to promote blockchain technology. They’ve made it easier for new users to transition to Web3 by integrating with platforms like Telegram. By simplifying the onboarding process, they achieved nearly 2 million downloads in August alone across the App Store and Google Play. This solidifies their position as the leading Web3 wallet worldwide.
Since launching the Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet for The Open Network (TON), interactions within the Telegram and TON ecosystem have improved significantly. Now, over 40% of Bitget Wallet users are using the TON MPC wallet. Features like Telegram-based wallet logins and trading bots have made the shift from Web2 to Web3 much smoother. In fact, there has been a 2.7-fold increase in MPC wallet creation among Telegram users since its launch.
Popular games within the TON ecosystem have also played a big role in user growth. The Tomarket app, supported by Bitget Wallet, has already exceeded 20 million users in just two months. This shows there's a lot of market potential.
As a multi-chain decentralized wallet, Bitget Wallet gives users access to over 90 major blockchains. It works as a key DEX aggregator, helping users find the best prices across different DEXs. Plus, it offers a wide range of premium cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
Bitget Wallet is dedicated to expanding globally and providing financial solutions to underserved populations. By combining global access with localized services, they’ve tackled geographical and economic challenges. They now support users in over 168 countries. In many areas, the number of users has surged by 1000% compared to last year. Many people are accessing decentralized finance for the first time through Bitget Wallet.
Collaborations with over 50 projects in the TON ecosystem, such as Catizen, Tomarket, and Notcoin, have further enhanced the Web3 user experience. Onchain data shows that Bitget Wallet accounts for 17% of active addresses on the TON network.
