Bubblemaps is set to launch its own token on the Solana blockchain later this month. This token will be the foundation for their new investigation platform.

The platform is called Intel Desk. It aims to be the first governance tool for on-chain investigations. It’s launching in Q1 2025. Users will propose investigation topics, like suspicious wallets or questionable token launches. Then, the community will vote using the Solana Bubblemaps Token (BMT). Once an investigation gets enough votes, it will kick off, with Bubblemaps leading the charge.

Essentially, Intel Desk involves the community in deciding which projects and wallets need investigation. It’s a way for Bubblemaps to engage its users directly.

“Our core team will lead the investigations to ensure the research is credible and actionable. When we finish an investigation, we’ll share the findings publicly,” said Nick Vaiman, co-founder and CEO of Bubblemaps. “Participants who provide valuable insights will be rewarded based on their contributions.”

Voters can withdraw their BMT tokens after a short waiting period. They’ll get their tokens back automatically when a case closes. Participants will also receive rewards from the Ecosystem Fund, which will allocate a portion of the BMT token supply. Plus, users of Bubblemaps’ main product will receive a token airdrop. Details about the tokenomics will be released later this week.

Bubblemaps is known for its visualization tool, which simplifies understanding how wallets are connected. This has helped the company alert users about potential scams, making it a notable voice in the crypto space.

Recently, Bubblemaps discovered that 96% of the Hawk Tuah (HAWK) token supply was controlled by a single cluster of connected wallets. They followed up with a deeper investigation into the token's launch, providing insights into what happened.

“We want to create a seamless experience between Bubblemaps and Intel Desk. This way, users can benefit from both platforms from the start,” Vaiman added. “We aim to empower the community to uncover hidden patterns and bring more transparency to the crypto world.”

Holding BMT will be important for participating in Intel Desk. While the Solana token launches this month, the investigation platform will debut in February or March.

In the meantime, Bubblemaps will give token holders access to premium features in the second version of its visualization tool, Bubblemaps V2. This includes AI tools for deeper analysis, cross-chain analytics, and profit and loss tracking.
