Chainlink (LINK) is leading the pack in development activity among ERC-20 projects, according to Santiment, a crypto analytics firm.
Recently, Santiment shared on social media that Chainlink logged an impressive 624.17 notable GitHub events in the past 30 days. That’s more than double the activity of the second-place project, Ethereum (ETH), which had 298.8 events. Chainlink also took the top spot in both June and August.
Coming in third is the decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Synthetix (SNX), with 289.93 notable GitHub events. Just so you know, ERC-20 is a standard that developers use to create tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
Santiment points out that they don’t count routine updates. They use a “better methodology” to gather data on GitHub events based on a “backtested process.” This means they focus on significant activity that reflects developer confidence in a project. More development often suggests a lower risk of scams.
As for current prices, LINK is trading at $11.39, up 1.6% in the last 24 hours. Ethereum sits at $2,575, with a nearly 4% increase. Meanwhile, Synthetix’s native asset, SNX, is priced at $1.58, showing a rise of over 6% in the past day.
