Hyperbridge has officially launched on Polkadot. This new protocol supports Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain, and more. It opens up exciting possibilities for seamless cross-chain communication.

Following a successful $2.5 million seed funding round led by the Web3 Foundation and Scytale Digital, Hyperbridge is ready to deliver secure and scalable cross-chain solutions across multiple blockchains.

At launch, Hyperbridge offers native support for Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, and Gnosis. The team completed two thorough testnet cycles. During these tests, they processed over 600,000 cross-chain messages. Sixty-six independent relayers helped facilitate message transfers, proving the network's reliability.

Now, Hyperbridge is set for a smooth mainnet experience. It provides exceptional cross-chain messaging and liquidity solutions. At launch, it introduces a token bridge for asset transfers called Gateway. Gateway allows for arbitrary message passing and state queries across different ecosystems.

This system ensures high security and finality guarantees. It replaces traditional multisig-based authentication with zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs) and on-chain finality validation. Plus, it offers instant access to multi-chain liquidity. This opens new doors for decentralized finance (DeFi) use cases, including decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWAs).

Security is a top priority for Hyperbridge. It tackles issues faced by conventional multisig bridges, which have led to over $2 billion in exploits. Hyperbridge uses ZK-light clients and storage proofs to authenticate messages. This ensures a security model that matches the blockchains it connects.

Seun Lanlege, founder of Polytope Labs, the team behind Hyperbridge, stated, “Bridges are only as strong as their authentication mechanisms. By leveraging finality-based authentication and eliminating multisig committees, Hyperbridge offers unmatched security. This allows developers to build the next generation of decentralized applications (DApps) with confidence.”

Hyperbridge enables developers to launch cross-chain applications right from day one. It supports various use cases, including non-custodial native bridges for unified liquidity pools and cross-chain intents for seamless token interactions. It also facilitates multi-chain expansion for stablecoins, RWAs, and DAO governance tokens.

As blockchain adoption grows, interoperability becomes even more crucial. Hyperbridge aims to lead this shift. It provides developers and projects with a reliable, secure, and scalable cross-chain infrastructure. This opens new opportunities for DeFi, DAOs, and on-chain finance.

Hyperbridge acts as a cryptoeconomic coprocessor for secure and verifiable interoperability. It’s like the HTTPS of blockchain interoperability. Developers can use on-chain and off-chain SDKs to securely send cross-chain messages and read on-chain storage.

Polytope Labs is a group of researchers and engineers founded by core developers of Ethereum, Polkadot, and IBC. They focus on solving key infrastructure challenges that hold back the crypto industry, such as interoperability, scalability, and privacy. They believe in advancing truly decentralized technologies as part of the Web 3.0 evolution.

Polkadot serves as the secure core of Web 3.0. It provides a shared foundation that connects transformative apps and blockchains. With advanced modular architecture, developers can easily design and build specialized blockchain projects. Polkadot also offers pooled security, ensuring high standards for secure block production across all connected chains and apps.

Robust governance ensures a transparent system where everyone can shape the blockchain ecosystem for growth and sustainability. With Polkadot, users aren’t just participants—they're co-creators with the power to influence its future.
