Immutable, a Web3 gaming platform, has teamed up with Sequence, a development platform for Web3 games. This partnership aims to enhance the gaming experience for both players and developers. Together, they are integrating their technologies on Immutable’s zkEVM blockchain.
Alex Connolly, the CTO of Immutable, shared his enthusiasm about this collaboration. He said, “We are thrilled to continue upgrading the experience available to both gamers and developers on Immutable through this partnership with Sequence.” This move is a big step for Web3 gaming, making it easier for developers to choose where to build their games.
As part of this partnership, Immutable is rolling out a new feature called the Embedded Passport, powered by Sequence’s Embedded Wallet. This will help streamline the onboarding process for developers. Additionally, Sequence will improve its in-game marketplace technology by integrating Immutable’s marketplace contracts and Orderbook. These changes aim to provide game developers with a smoother user experience and better monetization options.
This collaboration brings together two key players in the Web3 gaming space. Immutable boasts the largest ecosystem in this field, with over 440 game developers using Web3 technology to enhance their projects. Popular games in their ecosystem include Gods Unchained, Illuvium, and Guild of Guardians.
Moreover, Immutable will allow developers to manage and customize their Embedded Wallets using the Immutable Builder, a low-code portal powered by Sequence. This portal offers advanced analytics tools that help developers track important metrics like user acquisition, retention, and monetization.
Since its launch in 2017, Sequence has been a leader in Web3 game technology. They created the first account abstraction smart contract wallet and contributed to key Ethereum standards, such as ERC-1155, ERC-1271, and ERC-6492. With over $5.3 billion in transactions, Sequence serves thousands of developers, including major publishers like Ubisoft and TapNation, which has over one billion downloads.
Peter Kieltyka, CEO of Sequence, noted, “Sequence and Immutable have grown up together in Web3 gaming from the industry’s earliest days.” He believes this partnership will leverage their combined strengths to push the potential of Web3-enhanced games forward for developers and players alike.
