Namada has successfully completed the first phase of its mainnet launch. This phase introduces staking and governance features for users.

Now, users can stake NAM tokens using the Namadillo interface. It’s designed to simplify how you engage with Namada’s functions. To stake, just connect your Keychain Extension, go to the staking section, browse the validators, spread your stake among them, and sign the transaction. It’s that easy!

The Namadillo interface is user-friendly, catering to both newcomers and seasoned users. It aims to lower the barriers to entry and encourage more people to participate in the ecosystem. Plus, it’s fully community-hosted, with options like TuDudes, SproutStake, 5elementnodes, Mellifera, and Hadesguard available. You can also stake through platforms like OmniFlix Network and Cosmic Validator, giving you plenty of choices.

Staking rewards will kick in during Phase 2 of the mainnet rollout. If you start staking before this phase, you’ll be eligible for early rewards. This ensures you get the most out of the initial offerings. You’ll have at least a week to complete your staking before Phase 2 begins.

It’s important to stay informed about governance proposals. The community will determine the activation of staking rewards and funding mechanisms through these discussions.

Namada encourages users to protect the multichain using advanced zero-knowledge cryptography. This technology allows selective disclosure of personal data, ensuring reliable data protection for assets and applications while keeping user privacy intact.

The launch of Namada’s genesis block marked the start of a five-phase rollout plan. This first phase activated the proof-of-stake consensus mechanism and governance framework. NAM token holders can now view their genesis balances, operate validators, delegate stakes, and engage in the platform’s governance system.

According to the roadmap, Phase 2 will activate staking rewards and public goods funding mechanisms. Following that, Phase 3 will introduce asset shielding features, Phase 4 will enable shielding rewards, and Phase 5 will allow NAM tokens to be transferable.

Namada’s community-driven model emphasizes collaboration and adaptability. Each phase is designed to enhance functionality and usability, bringing Namada closer to its goal of providing a secure and privacy-focused multichain experience.
